Thirteen years, and then quiet
Valmere started in 2013 with one idea that never changed: make a classic men's shoe the slow way, and sell it for what it costs to make rather than what a shop window can charge for it. Full-grain leather. Leather-lined footbeds. Lasts corrected over years rather than copied in an afternoon.
We are closing. Leather prices tripled, and the workshops that could hold our standard grew fewer every year. That left two options: make a cheaper shoe with our name on it, or make one last honest run and stop. We chose to stop.
What is on the site now
Everything you see is that final production run - the same leather, the same lasts, the same hands. There is no restock behind it. When a size sells through, the listing goes with it, and that is the end of that pair for good.
What does not change
- 30-day returns, from anywhere in the world, through the closure and after it.
- One-year warranty against manufacturing defects.
- Our leather guarantee, honoured for every pair that has left us.
- A tracking number on every order, and a person answering support@valmereandco.com until the last parcel is out the door.
How to buy well from a closing shop
Take the size you normally wear rather than waiting for a price that is not coming. Read the size guide if you are between two numbers, and the FAQ if anything else is in the way. If you have had your eye on a pair, this is the window.
